On Tuesday, Aug. 10 at approximately 12:15 a.m., Saline County 911 reported a vehicle failing to yield for deputies southbound on Highway 65, driving at a high rate of speed with no headlights.

Pettis County Deputies observed the vehicle traveling in Sedalia near Route HH.

A stop was attempted at which time the vehicle accelerated to over 100 miles per hour.

Deputies pursued the vehicle into the north side of Sedalia on Highway 765, where the driver continued evasive driving. Near the 300 block of East Morgan, the driver rammed a patrol vehicle and continued to flee.

Ultimately, the driver identified as Conchetta R. Wolfe of Marshall was taken into custody after Taser deployment in the 300 block of E Morgan.

Charges are being sought against Wolfe for Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer, Resisting Arrest, C&I, Property Damage, and making a Terrorist Threat. She is currently held in the Pettis County Jail pending the filing of formal charges.

“We are thankful for a relatively peaceful resolution in which injuries were minimal. Both Wolfe and the Deputy are OK after the incident,” said Sheriff Brad Anders in a Facebook post.
