Sedalia’s Trash Pickup Schedule Noted for Christmas Week

The City of Sedalia’s Public Works Operations Department has announced an updated residential trash pickup schedule for Christmas week.

This schedule differs from what was originally published on the annual calendar and flyers.

To make sure all households receive service before the Christmas holiday, the City’s Sanitation crew will be working three twelve-hour shifts on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, December 22 through December 24. Public Works crews will be off Thursday, December 25 and Friday, December 26.

Because of this adjustment, routes will be picked up earlier than normal:

Tuesday routes will be picked up on Monday, December 22
Wednesday routes will be picked up on Tuesday, December 23
Thursday and Friday routes will be picked up on Wednesday, December 24
Residents should place their carts at the curb by 5 a.m. on their updated pickup day.

“We appreciate everyone’s understanding regarding this schedule change and extend our thanks to the Public Works team for their dedication to serving the community during the holiday week,” the City said.
