Houstonia Man Injured in Pettis County Crash

A Houstonia man was injured in a one-vehicle crash that occurred Monday in Pettis County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a southbound 2006 Chevy Silverado, driven by 58-year-old Loren D. Brookman of Houstonia, was on Southfork Road and Buncomb Road around 9:45 a.m., when the vehicle traveled off the left side and struck a culvert.

Brookman suffered minor injuries and was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center for treatment.

The Chevy had moderate damage.

Brookman was later arrested at 11:13 a.m., and charged with driving while intoxicated and failure to drive on the right half of the roadway.
