Deadly Fentanyl Found in Barbie Doll Packages in Missouri

Missouri police have confirmed that a dangerous drug was found inside of multiple Barbie doll packages in Independence. Tests show that fentanyl was in at least 5 Barbie doll boxes inside of a retail store.

I first saw this reported by the Independence Police Department on their social media pages recently. It says that at least 5 Barbie doll packages inside of Cargo Largo was confirmed to be fentanyl.

Yahoo News shared an update that indicates police believe there may have been as many as 5 Barbie doll packages inside of Cargo Largo which were tampered with and all have been recovered. However, there is concern that there may have been more doll packages that were contaminated prior to the discovery of the substance by an employee.

What makes fentanyl so dangerous?

The National Institute of Drug Abuse says fentanyl is " more potent (powerful) than many other opioid drugs". When you consider the scenario where this terrifying opioid is put in a place like a Barbie doll box where kids would come in contact with it, that is what makes this such an urgent matter.
