Smith-Cotton High School senior Keegan Clark has accepted academic and athletic scholarships to State Fair Community College in Sedalia, where he will continue his track and field career.

Clark, the son of Tara and Matt Clark, is a four-year varsity athlete. He earned All-Central Missouri Activities Conference recognition in the 400 meters and the 4X200 meter relay. He was a member of the school record 4x200 meter relay team and the Sprint Medley relay; he also was a University of Kansas Relays medalist in Sprint Medley.

S-C Track and Field Assistant Coach Ashley Young said, “Keegan has been one of our best leaders and competitors for the past four years. Our coaching staff is excited to see him continue to excel and grow at the next level.”

SFCC Track & Field Head Coach Brad Hagedorn has known Clark “since he was a little boy” and appreciates Clark’s work ethic. “I know he has been well coached,” Hagedorn said. “I know what kind of kid he is. He solidifies our long spring group. … Hopefully we continue to get him a little bit better then we put some other kids around him and we get really good.”
