Even though February is the shortest month of the year, there have already been 5 Missouri kids that have vanished into thin air since the start of it. Authorities are looking for information that can lead investigators to their location and a reunion with their families.

According to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, these 5 Missouri kids have disappeared just since February 1, 2026.

How many Missouri kids are unaccounted for every year?

The Missouri Highway Patrol reports the total number of children in the state that disappear every year totals over 3,200. The means that over 8 kids in Missouri go missing every single day. It's a well-documented and sad fact that the longer a child is unaccounted for, the greater the chance they will be trafficked. This is especially a problem in this state as a recent report showed Missouri ranked 4th in the nation for human trafficking cases.

What can you do if you have information about any of these missing Missouri children?

The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children has a 24-Hour Call Center at 1-800-843-5678.
