
Missouri State Trooper Retires After 28 Years
One of Missouri's finest has decided to call it a career after 28 years of public service.
The public information office of the Missouri State Highway Patrol has just shared the news that one of their own is retiring. Captain Erik A. Gottman, commanding officer of Troop B, Macon made the announcement that Trooper Amanda F. Sapp would be retiring on May 1, 2026.
Trooper Sapp grew up in Macon, Missouri and graduated from high school in 1992. She then attended Northeast Missouri State University in Kirksville where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science of Psychology degree.
Amanda was appointed to the Patrol on February 1, 1998 when she was was assigned to Troop B, Zone 2, Macon and Shelby counties. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says that in 2003, Trooper Sapp transferred to Zone 10 which covers Randolph and Monroe counties.
Congratulations to Trooper Sapp on 28 years of serving the people of northeast Missouri. Here's hoping that her retirement years are enjoyable for her and her family.
