Many roads in Missouri have strange stories connected to them, but not many can claim to be tied to three different urban legends that are all extremely creepy.

Have you ever driven down Rickey Road in Kansas City, Missouri?

According to local stories I've heard told, the most famous Rickey Road story that dates back decades tells of a boy and girl traveling down this road when their vehicle runs out of gas. Legend says that the boy told the girl to stay in the car while he went to get help. After he leaves, the girl begins to hear the sound of scraping fingernails on the roof of the vehicle.

She later discovers that her boyfriend is deceased and was found hanging from a tree down the road and the fingernails dragging on top of the car were his. Shudder.

The second urban legend I've heard connected with Rickey Road is about the cemetery that was never there. The person reportedly saw a woman standing among the graves wearing a wedding dress and veil, with her arms extended toward the road. The next they returned to take a photograph of the cemetery where the apparition was spotted, but there is no cemetery nor is there a record of there ever being one along Rickey Road.

The third Rickey Road legend involves someone driving the road at night seeing a severed head with a terrified expression emerge from the woods and roll underneath the front of the vehicle. When they get out of the vehicle to check, there's nothing there.

While those are the 3 most prominent Rickey Road stories, there are infinitely more than that being told by the locals. Which ones are true? Your guess is as good as mine. What if they're all accurate?
