Peek Inside a Secret Underground Missouri Ozarks Home

There's a new video which reveals one of the most unique homes in Missouri. It was constructed completely underground starting over 50 years ago and you can see all that's been added to this incredible place over the years.

She shared the story of the Conway family whose patriarch decided he wanted to live in a remote part of the Missouri Ozarks so he built the home himself with some help from family and friends. He had spent his life in the mines of Missouri which led to his idea of a home carved out of the ground with walls of earth and rock.

The bedrooms in this underground Missouri home are as nice as any you'll find in a typical above ground place. Conway's son has continued to upgrade the home room-by-room.

She shows in her video tour of this Missouri home that it has a very detailed ventilation system and also includes full internet access thanks to a satellite dish on the ground above the home.

The video says that Conway wanted to live at least a mile away from any other human and that's why he chose this remote part of the Missouri Ozarks. The view out of the front windows of the home is a beautiful view of the valley below. There are very few homes in the state that you'll find which have so much history and character, built by a man who was a true visionary and free spirit.
