Michaela Bethel is a 6’0’’ center from Sapulpa, Oklahoma, where she played at Sapulpa High School for head coach Darlean Calip and summer basketball for the Oklahoma Lady Ballerz. She averaged 13 points, six rebounds and two assists per game her senior year.

She was named honorable mention to the 6A all-state team by The Oklahoman and to the 2017 all-tournament team. Bethel also earned the 2015-2016 Offensive Player of the Year.

“Michaela is a back-to-the-basket player,” said Bucher. “She is a physical post player who steps out and shoots the midrange jump shot. Michaela transferred from a high school in Tulsa where she led in scoring to a larger school at Sapulpa," he said.
