SFCC (2-1) closed the McDonald's Classic with a 64-49 loss to Kirkwood Community College, the top-ranked team in NJCAA Division II Women's Basketball at the Fred E. Davis Multipurpose Center.

The Kirkwood Eagles led 32-25 at halftime and outscored the Lady Roadrunners by 10 points in the third quarter.

"I think fatigue was an issue going into the second half," said Collier.

"We have to figure out a way to come out just as focused and engaged in the second half as we do to start the game. Getting more games under our belt will help with that. Tonight, I thought we struggled to put our post players in a position to be successful.

Tanksley and sophomore guard Kayla Dooley of Norbourne tied for the team lead in scoring with nine points each. Tanksley pulled down a team-high eight rebounds. Stocks dished out a team-high five assists. Jackson led the team in steals with two.
