Liberty Teen Drowns in Clay County

A Liberty teen drowned Monday afternoon in Clay County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

19-year-old Dashiza R. Jordon of Liberty walked into a private pond at 2206 Old State on Highway 210 in Liberty at 4:30 p.m., and never resurfaced. She was pronounced dead at 9:12 Tuesday morning by Medical Examiner M. Helton.

The body was released to the Clay County Medical Examiner.
