Lydia Anna Monsees, 87, of Cole Camp, died Monday, December 3, 2012, at her home.  She was born on February 2, 1925, near Mora, Missouri, a daughter of Martin and Agnes (Rosebrock) Monsees.   Lydia was a life-long member of St. John's Lutheran Church, rural Cole Camp, where she was baptized on February 22, 1925, and confirmed on May 29, 1938, by Pastor J. T. Roschke.  She attended Cheese Creek School and graduated from Mora School.  For 36 years, she worked at JA Lamy's Manufacturing in Sedalia.  She loved quilting, vegetable gardening, and visiting with her family.   She is survived by:             one sister, Edna Strelow of Sedalia;             one sister-in-law, LaVerne Monsees of Sedalia; and             fourteen nieces and nephews, Victor Monsees, Betty Cochran, Linda Spencer, Steve Monsees, Charles Shernaman, Maxine Shernaman, Carolyn White, Lois Curling, Wanda Monsees, Mona McCormack, Eric Monsees, Dennis Mueller, Karen Bussell, and Debbie Wilken.   She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Verna Shernaman, and two brothers, Clarence Monsees and Ralph Monsees.   Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 6, 2012, at Fox Funeral Home, Cole Camp, with  Pastor Michael Boothby officiating.  Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery, rural Cole Camp.   The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Thursday at the funeral home.   The family suggests memorial contributions be given to St. John's Lutheran Church in care of the Fox Funeral Home, Cole Camp.   Pallbearers will be Victor Monsees, Steve Monsees, Dennis Mueller, Charles Shernaman, Eric Monsees, and Bill Wilken.
