Funeral Announcements for September 4, 2026

Visitation for Michael Wayne Blum, 70, of Sedalia, will be 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 4 at Heckart Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 5 at Heckart Funeral Home. Private family burial will follow in Smithton Cemetery.

A funeral service for Carolyn Louise Miller, 85, of Sedalia, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 4 at the First United Methodist Church, 916 Thompson Blvd. The family will receive visitors at 10 a.m., one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at La Monte Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Rea Funeral Chapel.

Visitation for Georgia Belle Soldan, 87, of Smithton, will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 5 at Heckart Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 2 p.m. Graveside services and burial will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 12 at Ford Cemetery in Ford, Kanas.

A funeral service for Richard Lee Sherrer, 68, of Springfield, formally of Windsor, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 4 at Ozark Tabernacle Church near Cole Camp.  Burial will be in Inman Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements are in care of the Fox Funeral Home.

A celebration of life for Kelly Leann Burkholder, 65, of Sedalia, will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 10 at First Christian Church. The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.

No services are being planned at his time for Robert J. Proctor, 76, of Sedalia. Arrangements are under the direction of Rea Funeral Chapel.

A celebration of life for Mark Alan Gunn, 56, of Sedalia, will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9 at Rea Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends at 5 p.m. Arrangements are in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
