The Greater Warrensburg Area Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Warrensburg Area Career Center, Johnson County high school educators, and local manufacturers—including EnerSys Energy Products, Swisher Acquisition Inc., RB Signaling, Inc., Dollar Tree, and Stahl Specialty Company—will host its sixth annual Manufacturing Day on Thursday, October 2, 2025.

Manufacturing Day (MFG Day) is a national celebration of modern manufacturing, designed to inspire students and their communities by showcasing high-tech, fast-paced, and innovative workplaces. Students gain hands-on experience with advanced production processes and learn about the diverse career pathways available in the manufacturing industry.

“Students and teachers are often surprised by the range of careers and technology that come together to make modern manufacturing successful,” said David Richner, Integrated Academics Instructor at the Warrensburg Area Career Center.

The Warrensburg Chamber is proud to host Manufacturing Day as part of its commitment to fostering connections, stimulating local business, and cultivating community. By linking students with local manufacturers, the Chamber empowers the community through educational opportunities, leadership development, and workforce engagement, helping prepare the next generation of skilled workers while strengthening local businesses and promoting economic growth.

Across the country, MFG Day events attract hundreds of thousands of students, parents, and educators each year. With an estimated four million manufacturing jobs expected to be filled over the next decade, events like this are crucial for raising awareness of the industry’s opportunities and preparing a talented, high-tech workforce.
