Marshall Woman Arrested in Sedalia

Sedalia Police arrested a 26-year-old Marshall woman on June 2 while investigating a shoplifting complaint.

Police say they were contacted by a business in the Thompson Hills Shopping Center to report shoplifting. Police made contact with two suspects at another business in the shopping center and did a search of a purse. The stolen items were not located, but police reportedly found methamphetamine, a glass pipe and plastic straw with residue inside.

Ashley N. Adams was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail, where she was placed on a 24-hour hold.

The second suspect was released and issued a trespass warning.
