Two Sedalia residents were arrested and a child was removed from a home in the 1000 block of S. Monroe after the Mid-Missouri Drug Task Force reportedly discovered a large amount of methamphetamine and a Glock 9mm.

According to the Pettis County Sheriff's Office, deputies and detectives seared a search search warrant at the residence on November 1 around 6:45 p.m. The two suspects arrested were identified as Nathan MP Smith and Chelsea Archambault. The child was released to a family member. The sheriff's office says that the Glock had been converted into a fully automatic pistol.

Smith was charged with second degree trafficking, unlawful use of a weapon/ possession of a weapon and felony controlled substance, and endangering the welfare of a child involving drugs. Archambault was later released from the Pettis County Jail with charges pending.
