Benton County accident injures three Warsaw residents Tuesday evening

Just after 5:00 Tuesday evening, the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Warsaw Police, and the Benton County Sheriff’s Office investigated a two-vehicle accident on Missouri Highway “7” at Commercial Street in Benton County. The accident occurred when the 2004 Chevrolet driven by 60-year-old Ronald Lane of Warsaw overtook and struck the rear of the 1978 Ford driven by 48-year-old William Crum of Warsaw. Crum received serious injuries and Lane suffered moderate injuries in accident. Both men were transported by Staff for Life Air Ambulance to University Hospital for treatment. A passenger in the Crum vehicle, Trent Crum of Warsaw, whose age was not included in the accident report, received moderate injuries and was taken by EMS to Bothwell Regional Health Center for treatment.  Both vehicles were totaled.

Kingsville child injured in a Johnson County accident this (Thursday) morning

At 6:00 this (Thursday) morning, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported an injury accident involving a 4-year-old child. According to the accident report, the accident happened when the 2010 Ford driven by 27-year-old Douglas Small of Urich struck the 2011 Chevrolet driven by 36-year-old Ryan Davis of Kingsville, causing extensive damage to both vehicles. The only injury listed in the accident report was 4-year-old Nathan Davis, a passenger in the struck vehicle. The child was in a safety seat and received minor injuries.  He was transported to Children’s Mercy Hospital by Johnson County EMS for treatment.
