Sedalia Police Crime Reports and MSHP Accident Reports: Afternoon of May 9, 2014
The following Sedalia Police crime reports and Missouri State Highway Patrol accident reports are from the afternoon of Friday, May 9, 2014.
Two arrests made on Thursday
At 1:46 Thursday morning Sedalia Police stopped a vehicle at 16th and Sneed with a driver known to be suspended. Following confirmation, officers arrested 18-year-old Wayne Gravitt of Sedalia for driving while suspended.
Just after 10 p.m. Thursday night, Sedalia Police arrested 22-year-old William Dustin Franken of Sedalia on a failure to appear warrant. Bond on the warrant was set at $141.50.
Theft of a Puppy reported Thursday morning on East 16th
Around 11:25 Thursday morning, Sedalia Police responded to a residence in the 400 block of East 16th on a theft complaint. According to the victim sometime after 2 a.m. that morning someone stole her 6-month-old Pitt Bull puppy from her front porch. There were no suspects at news time.
Property damage Reports
On Thursday evening, a woman in the 200 block of South Prospect reported someone had attempted to steal the copper from her air conditioner and caused $400 worth of damage to the unit. There were no suspects.
Just after 5:30 Thursday evening, a female victim reported the rear window of her van was broken out sometime overnight. There was no information on a possible suspect in the police report.
MSHP Accident Report
Around 2 a.m. Thursday morning, The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a one-vehicle accident on Route “H” three quarters of a mile east of 65 Highway in Saline County. The accident occurred as the driver of a 2006 Nissan Altima, 25-year-old Nakisha O’Bryan of Marshall, swerved to miss a deer, traveled off the roadway and overturned. O’Bryan suffered minor injuries but refused treatment at the scene.
