82-year-old Kansas man injured in a Saline County accident Tuesday morning

Just before 2am Tuesday morning the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a two-vehicle accident on Westbound I-70 at mile market 71.4 in Saline County. The accident occurred according to the report as the 2014 Chevrolet Captiva driven by Eldon Staler of Lawrence Kansas struck a towed unit behind a 2000 International driven by 46-year-old Steven Freeman of Dongola Illinois. Staler suffered moderate injuries and was transported to the I-70 Community Hospital in Sweet Springs for treatment.

Cole camp man receives minor injuries in a Johnson County accident Tuesday morning

At 8:42 Tuesday morning according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, 28-year-old William Gerhardt of Cole Camp, lost control of his 1994 Yamaha as he overtook another vehicle on US-50 Highway at the Blackwater Bridge in Johnson County. The Yamaha travelled off the roadway and struck a guardrail. Gerhardt suffered minor injuries and refused treatment at the scene.
