Sedalia man suffers moderate injuries in a Pettis County accident

At 4:45 Sunday afternoon, a Sedalia man suffered moderate injuries in an accident that occurred on US-65 Highway at Thornleigh Road in Pettis County. According to the accident report, the driver of a 2010 Toyota, 25-year-old Brian Ogweno of Sedalia, traveled off the roadway and struck an embankment, causing the vehicle to overturn and come to rest on its wheels. Ogweno was taken to Bothwell Regional Health Center for treatment by the Pettis County Ambulance District.

Sedalia man injured in a Benton County accident

Just after 11 Saturday morning, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a one-vehicle accident on ”BB” 6 miles East of US-65 Highway in Benton County.  The accident occurred as the driver of a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee, 55-year-old Debra Higginbotham of Sedalia, lost control of her vehicle and overturned, coming to rest on the roadway. Higginbotham suffered moderate injuries and was taken to Bothwell Regional Health Center by Warsaw/Lincoln Ambulance for treatment.

Johnson County accident injures an Odessa woman

At 1:40 Saturday afternoon, the driver of a 2008 Mercury, 23-year-old Sarah Markley of Odessa, failed to negotiate a curve on Missouri Highway 131 in Johnson County. The vehicle traveled off the roadway, struck a culvert and overturned. Markley received moderate injuries in the crash but refused treatment at the scene.

Warrensburg man runs a stop sign, strikes a vehicle in a driveway and damages a house

Around 2:30 Sunday morning  the Missouri State Highway Patrol and the Johnson County Sheriff’s Department investigated a two-vehicle accident on County Road 22 at Southeast 150 Road in Johnson County. The accident occurred as the 2012 KIA driven by David Vadivier of Warrensburg failed to stop at a stop sign, traveled through a “T” intersection and through a yard, where it struck an unoccupied 2006 Pontiac parked in the driveway. The report states the Pontiac was then forced into the occupied dwelling by the driveway. Vandivier received moderate injuries and was taken to Western Missouri Medical Center by EMS for treatment.
