
Day of Prayer Observed in Pettis County
The 75th National Day of Prayer was observed locally at the west entrance of the Pettis County Courthouse, 415 S. Ohio, on Thursday at noon.
The 15-minute ceremony was comprised of six speakers delivering prayers for first responders (Jacob Carver, SFD), schools and education (Todd Lewis, Cornerstone Baptist School Board member), community and businesses (Caleb Sumner, Sumner Insurance), military (Airman First Class Mauro Techera, WAFB), government an elected officials (Pettis County Clerk Megan Page), and churches (Pastor Jeff Lockington, Life Liberty of Sedalia).
Pastor Jon Church emceed the event, which was led off with the singing of Amazing Grace by the Sacred Heart School Choir, led by Darrin Hartman.

The event, which carried the theme, “Glorify God among the nations, seeking Him in all generations,” concluded with the singing of God Bless America by the crowd gathered on the courthouse lawn.
