Northwest Junior High Football Loses to Orick

Northwest with Sacred Heart junior high football played Orick Monday night and lost, 46-16.

Leading Offensive players included:

Grant Goodwin 125 yards rushing on 13 carries with 2 touchdowns and a 2 point conversion
Mason Cornine 9 yards on 2 carries
Owen Caton 4 yards on 3 carries
Grant Goodwin had 44 yards passing and a 2 point conversion pass
Mason Cornine had a 39 yard pass reception
Owen Caton had a 5 yard pass reception
Kenneth Johnson had a 2 point conversion reception

Leading Defensive players included:

Mason Cornine had 7 tackles
Vlad Lopez had 6 tackles
Owen Caton had 4 tackles
Alan James had 4 tackles

The loss evens the Jr High record at 1 and 1. They play at Norborne/Hardin on Sept. 30.
