Part of Winchester Drive to be Closed Tuesday

Winchester Drive from Broadway to the WalMart truck entrance will close at 6 a.m. Tuesday and reopen Wednesday at 7 a.m. for road repair, according to the City of Sedalia.

The repairs were originally scheduled for the week of June 17, but equipment breakdowns forced postponement.

Winchester south of the 10th street intersection to the West 16th roundabout will be open during this period. Drivers should note that the roadway surface will be rough to drive on as the road is being allowed to cure. Drivers are encouraged to slow down.

Businesses in the area have been advised of the road work and closure.

The City apologized for any inconvenience the road closure and lane restrictions may cause as work continues to improve the area. The resurfacing project is weather- and equipment-dependent and may be delayed due to rain or equipment breakdowns.
