Pettis County Sheriff’s Reports for January 2, 2021
On Jan. 1, Pettis County Deputies arrested Katie Grissum of Boonville for driving while intoxicated and driving on the wrong side of the roadway. Grissum was taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where she was later released with summonses and to a sober driver.
On Wednesday, Dec. 30, 66-year-old Viola Vinyard of Sedalia reported a case of possible fraud to Pettis County Sheriff's Office.
On Wednesday, Dec. 30, Eric and Mellisa Tobin of Sedalia, reported to the Pettis County Sheriff's Office that someone stole their 2009 red Mazda from their driveway overnight.
On Tuesday, Dec. 29, Pettis County Deputies responded to 3152 Elsie Drive for a runaway report. The caller said her 16-year-old son had run away. She added that he left the house with a 17-year-old male living at the residence. The son was later located and returned to his mother.
On Tuesday, Dec. 29, Pettis County Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Whitfield Road near Highway MM for several lane violations. The driver, Jose Sanchez of Sedalia, was issued a summons for no valid driver's license, 2nd offense.
On Tuesday, Dec. 29, Pettis County Deputies responded to 118 Villa Drive for a runaway report. The caller said her 15-year-old daughter had run away. The girl was last seen at the residence at 9 a.m. Dec. 29.
On Tuesday, Dec. 29, Pettis County Deputies conducted a traffic stop near Broadway and Winchester Drive for an improper turn and driving in the wrong lane on Winchester. Deputies made contact with the driver and conducted field sobriety tests. Joseph E. Fore of Sedalia was then arrested for driving while intoxicated. Fore was taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail.
On Tuesday, Dec. 29 at 5:01 a.m., Pettis County Deputies responded to 20945 Highway O for a verbal disturbance. During the disturbance, windows were broken out, which caused injuries to another subject. Deputies arrested Desiree Flores of the address and charged her with 4th degree domestic assault.
On Dec. 21 at 1:34 a.m., Pettis County Deputies conducted a vehicle stop at US 50 and Missouri on a vehicle with no registration. A computer check revealed that the driver, Callie A. Slater, was operating the vehicle with a suspended license. Slater was issued a summons for driving while suspended and given a court date of Feb. 10.
