On Jan. 21, Pettis County Deputies took a report concerning an inmate in possession of a controlled substance in the jail. Freddie Thomas is being held for prior charges, but is also awaiting formal charges, pending prosecution on possession of a controlled substance in a county jail.


 

On Jan. 20, Pettis County deputies responded to a report of theft and property damage in the 4700 block of South Limit. An investigation is ongoing.


 

On Jan. 19, Pettis County Deputies received and anonymous tip that Jeremy McDaniel of Sedalia was staying at Budget Inn, 4710 South Limit. McDaniel had active warrants for his arrest. Deputies located McDaniel and placed him under arrest for Pettis and Benton County warrants.


 

On Jan. 19 at 3:16 a.m., Pettis County Deputies observed someone they were familiar with and knew had outstanding Pettis County warrants. John Zimmerman was located at 318 West Broadway, and found to be in possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Zimmerman was placed on a 24-hour hold, pending the filing of formal charges.


 

On Jan. 19, Pettis County Deputies conducted a warrant check at 1421 South Stewart in Sedalia. Alfred Fred was arrested on an outstanding Pettis County warrant and transported to the Pettis County Jail.


 

On Jan. 18, Pettis County Deputies conducted a traffic stop at US 65 and Route HH for speeding. Deputies made contact with Maria G. Sotelo, who was given summonses for speeding and operating a motor vehicle without a valid license.


 

On Jan. 18, Pettis County Deputies conducted a vehicle stop at Highway 65, near Elm Hills Blvd. The driver, Brandon Viles of Sedalia, was arrested for three outstanding Pettis County warrants. Viles was then taken to the Pettis County Jail.
