Pettis County Commissioner Baeza Delivers State of the County Speech
Pettis County Eastern Commissioner Israel Baeza delivered his State of the County address Wednesday morning during the monthly Sedalia Area Chamber Breakfast at LifePointe Church.
The event also included a Veterans Appreciation portion of the program, including the presentation of colors by Smith-Cotton JROTC.
In his facebook post, Baeza said that “it’s always great to meet with the business community that keeps Pettis County moving forward. The Sedalia Area Chamber of Commerce embodies what makes our county strong. Businesses supporting community, and the community supporting local business.
“Over the past year, we’ve focused on what matters most to Pettis Countians: Small government and common sense policies, Open communication and transparent governance, Safe, reliable infrastructure, and a consistently low property tax rate that respects your hard-earned dollars
“As Pettis County continues to grow, new opportunities come with new challenges, from infrastructure to housing and workforce needs. That’s why it’s more important than ever that we continue working side by side.
“When government gets out of the way, businesses thrive. When you keep more of your money, investment grows.

“Thank you to our business leaders for your leadership and for helping make Pettis County stronger. Our best days are still ahead,” Baeza concluded.
