Pinnacle Regional Hospital in Boonville is closing today, Wednesday January 15, according to a release posted on the hospital's Facebook page this morning. The hospital says:

Pinnacle Healthcare System, Inc. has elected to voluntarily close Pinnacle Regional Hospital in Boonville, Missouri. Following further discussions with the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (MDHSS), it has been determined that the economic hardship of bringing the facility into compliance is too great to make the appropriate repairs necessary.

At 7:00PM CST Wednesday January 15 Pinnacle Regional Hospital in Boonville will cease all operations. This includes: The Rural Health Clinic, Outpatient Therapy Clinic, and the Emergency Department. The Hospital says there will still be staff present in the Emergency Department for fourteen days to provide assistance for any walk in patients.

According to abc17news.com Pinnacle bought the hospital in October of 2018 promising to maintain the services that were offered at the hospital.
