Sedalia woman reports her credit card used in Florida fraudulently

At 6:27 Wednesday evening, Sedalia police took a forgery complaint from a victim in the 800 block of Ruth Ann Drive. According to the female victim, her credit card was used fraudulently several times in Florida, between August 11 and 15. There was no information on a suspect in the police report.

 

Peace disturbance call results in a 12-hour log early this morning

At 2:44 this morning Sedalia police investigated a peace disturbance complaint in the 400 block of East 6th. Upon arrival, officers located two subjects with minor injuries that reportedly stemmed from an argument that got out of control. The police report states a 12-hour log was completed in the incident.

Sedalia man arrested on a Pettis County warrant this morning.

Just after 5 o’clock this morning, Pettis County Deputies arrested Todd  C. Streb of Sedalia on a Pettis County Warrant.

 

Serious injuries result of a Saline County accident Wednesday afternoon

At 11:38 Wednesday night, the Missouri State Highway Patrol and the Slater Fire Department reported a one-vehicle accident that occurred on Eastbound 240 a mile East of Gilliam in Saline County.  According to the report, the accident occurred as a 2010 Ford F-150, driven by 37-year-old Chad Scott of St. Joseph, failed to negotiate a curve, ran off the left side of roadway and struck two road signs. The vehicle then returned to the roadway and ran off the right side of the roadway, coming to rest in a ditch. Scott was reportedly not wearing his seat belt and received serious injuries in the accident. He was taken by EMS to Fitzgibbon Hospital for treatment.

 

38-year-old female injured in a Benton County accident

The Missouri state Highway Patrol reported a one-vehicle accident at 4:30 Wednesday afternoon on Coffey Creek Road just East of Route “AB” in Benton County.  According to the report, the accident happened as a 2002 Saturn left the roadway, struck an embankment and overturned coming to rest on the driver’s side. The driver is listed as unknown with no information reported. A passenger, 38-year-old Shannon Coffer of Pensacola, Florida, was not wearing a seat belt and received moderate injuries in the accident, and was transported to the University of Columbia Medical Center by Air Ambulance for treatment. An investigation continues into the accident according to the report.

 

Warsaw man injured in an accident Thursday evening

At 6:31 Wednesday evening, The Missouri State Highway Patrol and Benton County Sheriff’s Office reported a one-vehicle injury accident on Route “BB” East of Woodland Road in Benton County. The accident report states the accident occurred as the 2000 Chevrolet driven by 58-year-old Stephen Barnes of Warsaw ran off the roadway and overturned, coming to rest in a ditch. The report states Barnes was wearing his seatbelt and received only minor injuries. The report states he refused treatment at the scene, and charges are pending.
