Portion of E. 13th Street to Close for Maintenance

A portion of E. 13th Street will be closed for repairs beginning at 7:00 Monday morning ( April 1).

The City of Sedalia says the portion of E. 13th Street to be closed is between S. Massachusetts Ave. and S. Washington Ave.

The City says the street will re-open to through traffic at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 3.

Motorists who routinely use E. 13th Street from S. Ohio to access Bothwell Regional Health Center will need to choose an alternate route during the work period. The work on the roadway requires temporary closure of the street and users of the Katy Trail will be detoured around this short section as rails from the KATY rail line crossing the roadway are removed and the area is resurfaced.

The City says that residents who routinely park along 13th Street in the area are not expected to be affected by this road closure.

It was noted the roadwork is dependent on weather.
