Road Closure Announced by City of Sedalia
On Thursday, Dec. 29 beginning at 7 a.m. and scheduled through 5 p.m. Fri., Dec. 30, the westbound lane of West 11th Street will be closed 100 feet east of U.S. 65 (South Limit Ave.) and continuing approximately 200 feet to the east towards South Warren Ave. to allow for installation of a new sewer line and main.
Both lanes of West 11th Street will be closed for approximately 40 feet at approximately mid-block to allow for connection of the new sewer main.
All businesses and residences along West 11th Street should have access to their property via other drive approaches (between Volkers and Burger King).
Heavy equipment and workers will be present in and along the roadway while these repairs are made.
Travelers in the area may want to find an alternate route to their destination to avoid delays due to this replacement project, City officials said.
"We apologize for any inconvenience this lane restriction and closure may cause as a private contractor works in the area. Please note that this project is weather and equipment-dependent and may be delayed due to inclement weather or equipment breakdowns," A press released read.
