State Fair Community College freshman guard Tim Leavell has signed a National Letter of Intent to continue his academic and athletic career at Le Moyne College, a Division II school in Syracuse, New York.

Leavell, a Marion, Indiana native, has three years of athletic eligibility.

Leavell helped SFCC to a 19-10 record in his only season as a Roadrunner. He played in 28 games, started in 27 and averaged 9.7 points per game. Leavell shot 49.5 percent from the field, hit over 42 percent of his three-point attempts and made a team-high 83.6 percent from the free-throw line.

“Tim will be a productive shooter for Le Moyne,” said head coach Matt Brown. “Last year Le Moyne had a good season and advanced to the final four in NCAA Division II. The head coach there is Patrick Beilein, who I coached at West Virginia. The style of play both offensively and defensively at Le Moyne is very similar to what we run here. Tim will fit in well, and we wish him the best of luck.”
