The Smith-Cotton boys swimming and diving team finished in seventh place out of 22 teams at the North Kansas City Invitational held Friday, Sept. 20, and Saturday, Sept. 21, at the North Kansas City Schools Natatorium.

Top finishes for the Tigers:

Jeremy Acosta, 100-yard butterfly, fifth; 100-yard backstroke, sixth

200-yard freestyle relay (Jeremy Acosta, Clay Pilliard, Lowell Pilliard, Hunter Scholl), fifth

Clay Pilliard, 500-yard freestyle, sixth

200-yard medley relay (Jeremy Acosta, Clay Pilliard, Lowell Pilliard, Hunter Scholl), seventh

In addition, all of S-C’s divers scored points: Justice McDonald was 10th, Cooper Rea was 12th, Jordan Beard was 15th and Malachi Williams was 16.

Rockhurst won the meet, with Lee's Summit West finishing second and Glendale taking third.
