Six Smith-Cotton Track and Field Tigers are moving on to the Class 5, Sectional 3 meet.

Junior Derek Grubb is a two-time District champ. He won the 110m hurdles on Saturday in the Class 5, District 5 meet in Eureka in a time of 14.82. He also won the 300m hurdles with a personal record of 39.49.

Clay Pilliard, a junior, is advancing in the mile run by placing third with a PR of 4:42.03.
The 4x200m relay team of Grubb, senior Jaren Washington, senior Logan Jaekel, junior Kaiden Smith and senior Arthur Sims as an alternate placed fourth with a PR of 1:32.17.
These athletes will compete Saturday in Waynesville to try to earn a trip to the MSHSAA State Meet on May 27-28.
