Smith-Cotton High School senior Karmen Butler Smith-Cotton High School has accepted a full-ride scholarship for co-ed cheerleading at Independence Community College in Independence, Kansas.

Ferolito performed four years with Smith-Cotton’s varsity cheerleading squad, earning letters the past three years. She was the football cheer captain her senior year. She also was active in S-C’s Jobs for America’s Graduates (JAG) program.

S-C Football Cheerleading Coach Karmen Butler said, “Heaven is a hard worker. She was always committed to the team, no matter what else was going on in her life or how much pain she was in.”
