Sacred Heart Gremlins Varsity stole the lead late in the game for a 7-6 victory over Smithton on Monday at Lincoln.

The win moves Sacred Heart to the fifth place game on the consolation side of the bracket for the Kaysinger Conference Tournament.

A win against green ridge Saturday and a loss to Windsor following that game put the Gremlins on the consolation side.

Bats blistered as Sacred Heart Gremlins Varsity collected eight hits and Smithton tallied ten in the high-scoring game. Marshall and Schlotterbeck each managed multiple hits for Sacred Heart Gremlins varsity.

Easton Webb led the Sacred Heart Gremlins varsity to victory on the mound. He lasted seven innings, allowing 10 hits and six runs while striking out four.

Austin Bohlen took the loss for Smithton. He lasted three and two-thirds innings, allowing two hits and two runs while striking out seven.


 

And on Thursday in a regular season game, Cole Camp scored four runs in the seventh inning.  The offensive firepower by Cole Camp was led by Bunch and Aden Hernandez, who each had RBIs in the inning.

Bunch was the winning pitcher for Cole Camp. He surrendered one run on two hits over two and a third innings, striking out three and walking zero.  Evan Shearer threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Zaine Dover took the loss for Sacred Heart. He surrendered four runs on five hits over five innings, striking out five.

Kaden Harms started the game for Cole Camp. He allowed two hits and one run over three and two-thirds innings, striking out five.

Easton Webb, Lucas Martin, Nolan Walker, Chappell, and Chase Marshall all had one hit to lead Sacred Heart.


 

Sacred Heart plays Smithton (3-12) at home on Tuesday, April 26.
