The Sacred Heart Gremlins soccer team's road to the "Final Four" was stopped short by the undefeated Logan-Rogersville Wildcats.

The Gremlins traveled to Rogersville for the Class 2 State Quarterfinal soccer game Saturday, Nov. 11. The weather was perfect and the crowd of Sacred Heart parents, friends and fans for the 11 am game was impressive.

Sacred Heart came out with intense play to start the game. The Gremlins controlled the ball well and made a handful of shots on goal. With just over 14 minutes left in the first half, the Wildcats scored.

The score was 0-1 at halftime.

The Gremlins played hard and kept working to score a goal, but were unable to get on the board. The Wildcats scored twice in the second half and the final score was 0-3. Logan-Rogersville advanced to the final four of the Class 2 State Soccer Tournament.

It was an impressive season for the 23 -5 Gremlins as Kaysinger Conference Champs, Kaysinger Conference Tournament Champs and Class 2 District 6 Champs. The team will graduate nine seniors this spring.
