The Junior High Girls won two games on Saturday, earning them the second place trophy in the Gremlin Invite Junior High Basketball Tournament.

"We had to play two really tough teams that would not give up, " said coach Chad Damlo. " In the end, we were able to come out with two victories and back-to-back second-place Gremlin invite finishes. I'm so proud of how hard they played."

In the first game of the day, the Grems beat Tipton 22-19. Emily Hesse led the way for the Gremlins with 12 points and 4 rebounds. Shea Smith and Sammy Altena each had four points, and Ellie Coruna had 2.

It was another close game against the Stover Bulldogs, but the Gremlins hung on claim 22-18 victory. Emily Hesse led the scoring with 11 points Shea Smith, Sammy Altena, Karleigh Kennon and Ellie Coruna contributed with 4,3,2,2 points respectively.
