Sacred Heart Junior High Speech Team Secures Four Blue Ribbons

The Sacred Heart Jr. High Speech team participated at the Bellarmine Speech Contest on Saturday, Jan. 26, in Glasgow earning four blue ribbons and one red.

Tommy Mertes and Shea Smith earned a blue ribbon for their duet, "Joe's Pizza Parlor."

Ximena Lopez and Megan Aonzo took home a blue ribbon for a duet they wrote and performed titled "A.R.M.Y."; Mariah Van Leer earned a blue ribbon for her serious solo called "I am Not a Bully"; and Mia DeGraff earned a blue ribbon for her serious solo called "He Could Have Said No."

Olivia Dobson received a red ribbon for her humorous solo "Moths and Butterflies."

The team is coached by Liz Suter-Van Leer
