The holiday season is rolling into Sedalia in the most magical way as the Amtrak River Runner brings Santa on the Train to our historic depot on Saturday, Dec. 13.

This festive tradition is co-hosted by the Sedalia Convention and Visitors Bureau, Sedalia Main Streets, Amtrak River Runner and Lamy's.

The morning begins in Warrensburg, where nearly 250 passengers will board the River Runner at 9:57 a.m. They will travel with Santa, Mrs. Claus, the Grinch, and two cheerful elves for a morning filled with excitement as the train makes its way toward Sedalia.

At 10:27 a.m. the River Runner will arrive in Sedalia, and families are invited to gather at the depot to welcome this merry crew. Children can enjoy the moment Santa steps off the train and greets the crowd, creating a scene full of wonder and holiday spirit.

Just inside the station, Lamy's will host a Grinch Punch and Cookie reception in their beautifully decorated lobby. It is a perfect place to warm up, enjoy a sweet treat, and take photos with Santa in a festive setting.
