Sedalia Announces Street Closures for Thursday, Friday

On Wednesday, the City of Sedalia announced street closures planned for Thursday and Friday:

South Montgomery from East 6th to East 7th will be closed to through traffic from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Thursday, July 15 to allow for water main replacement.

On Friday, July 16 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., the intersection of South Montgomery and East 7th will be closed for water main replacement.

Beginning on Monday, July 19, and continuing through Wednesday, July 21 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., South Montgomery between Broadway and East 7th will be closed to through traffic.

Businesses and their customers in these areas will have access to parking lots and residents will be able to access their driveways during construction activities.

Heavy equipment and workers will be in the roadway and driving lanes will be restricted. The roadways will be opened during night time hours. Travelers are advised that the roadway will be closed to through traffic and they should plan an alternate route to avoid delays during daytime hours.
“We appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we work to complete this water main replacement project which improves the community’s water distribution system,” the City said in a statement on Wednesday.
