Last Night, the Sedalia Bombers were at home taking on Ozark Generals. Last night’s game coming off a late night for the Bombers, following a 16 inning slug-fest in Nevada vs the Griffons. The Bombers didn’t return home until a little after two early Monday morning. They knew they still had a game with first pitch scheduled for seven that night vs the Generals(Monday June 29th).

They had one thing going for them with Missouri State University product Sam Perez on the mound. Perez was well rested he didn’t take the trip to Nevada, because he is taking summer classes at Missouri State. Coming in to the game Perez had two previous starts where he went 2-0, with 22 strike outs, and only gave up 10 hits combined, this leading to being MINK League pitcher of the week. Last night Perez was dominate once again going seven innings, gave up two hits (with one of those base runners he picked off) gave up zero runs, and yet again struck out 11. That makes it three starts in a row that Sam Perez has struck out 11 batters which places him atop the MINK League in strike outs at 33. Another plus for the Bombers coming into their Monday match-up vs the Generals was having raining Mink League player of the week Jordan Dey. Dey went 2-4 with an RBI last night. The Bombers grab the 7-1 win with two RBIs coming from each Jarod Perry, and Trey Harris, fromer Mink League player of the week Jonathan Ramonn also added an RBI of his own. The win has the Bombers at 14-8 on the season, two games back of MINK League North division foe/leader St. Joseph Mustangs who sit at 17-7.

Tonight Sedalia travels to face off with the Clarinda A’s for a 7:00 first pitch.
