Sedalia Parks & Rec has announced that the ground-breaking ceremony for Memory Lanes Bowling Alley and the new Sedalia Fire Station and Fire Training Center will be held at 11 a.m. Oct. 8 at 601 East Broadway.

Attendees should enter from East 5th Street. The event will be held rain or shine.

“This project is a major investment in Sedalia’s future,” said Mayor Dawson. “Our community will benefit not only from enhanced public safety with the addition of a new fire station and training facilities, but also from the recreation and gathering opportunities offered through the new Memory Lanes Bowling Alley.”

The Sedalia Fire Department’s new station and training center will expand coverage and improve response times while providing a dedicated facility for firefighter training. The new bowling alley, Memory Lanes, will add a family-friendly entertainment venue to the community as part of Sedalia Parks & Recreation’s ongoing improvements.

The public is encouraged to attend and celebrate this milestone in Sedalia’s growth and development.
