The City of Sedalia announced on Monday afternoon that Malinda Geiger, planner and downtown specialist, is no longer employed with the City of Sedalia.

Geiger was hired on June 12 and spent two months and two weeks on the job. Geiger’s replacement has not yet been announced.

Geiger replaced former downtown specialist Joleigh Cornine, who resigned two months prior.

The City of Sedalia would not comment further on personnel matters, according to Jessica Hoffman, City of Sedalia Community Engagement Director.
