Sedalia Council Shows Support for Affordable Senior Housing Project

The Sedalia City Council approved a resolution supporting the development of land on Mitchell Road on Monday night.

Developer Kim Lingle addressed the Council, asking for support in his application to the Missouri Housing Development Commission for funding.

Lingle's company, MBL Development, a Missouri corporation, proposes to build an additional 38 units in the area behind US Bank on the west side of Sedalia.

This will be Phase III of Deer Brook Villas, which is designed for affordable senior housing on the east side of Mitchell Road.

Community Development Director John Simmons asked for Council members to plan to take a bus trip to Columbia in the next few months to show Municipal support for the project to the MHDC.
