Sedalia Man Arrested After Fight Involving a Gun

Sedalia Police were called to the area of East 5th and South Marvin Avenue on Tuesday afternoon to investigate a report of a fight involving a gun.

According to a police report, a vehicle leaving the area was determined to be occupied by the subjects involved in the fight and a high-risk vehicle stop was conducted. Officers detained the occupants of the vehicle at gunpoint.

Police say that a suspect, 18-year-old David Dotson, was determined to have pointed a gun at two victims. A gun was reportedly recovered from his vehicle. Dotson was arrested on one count of Unlawful Use of a Weapon, one count of Armed Criminal Action, and two counts of 3rd Degree Assault.

Dotson was taken to the Pettis County Jail.
