Sedalia Man Arrested After High-speed Chase
On Friday afternoon around 3 p.m. Nov. 20, Pettis County deputies responded to Boonville and Randall on a physical disturbance call.
Deputies located a vehicle matching the description of the suspect vehicle at Emmet and Harvey.
The vehicle then sped away at high speed to avoid deputies, and a chase was then under way.
A report stated that the suspect vehicle cut through side streets, yards and alleyways. The suspect nearly hit a child on a bicycle in the Washington Elementary school zone area.
Deputies later located the vehicle and saw the suspect abandon the vehicle. After a brief foot chase, deputies arrested Zachary Denny of Sedalia in the 900 block of East 5th Street.
Denny was wanted on two active warrants. In addition, Denny was charged with resisting arrest by flight, endangering the welfare of a child and driving while revoked.
