A Sedalia man has been arrested in connection with a vehicle accident an chase.

The Pettis County Sheriff's Office says deputies were dispatched on February 25 to US 50 and MM Highway where a vehicle was being chased by another vehicle. It was discovered that the suspect's vehicle had rammed another vehicle, causing an accident west of MM Highway. Deputies observed rear-end damage to the victim's vehicle and leaking fluid.

The suspect was identified as Darrell Crain of Sedalia. Crain was arrested on February 26 in the 1400 block of S. Kentucky after deputies received information on his residence from the Sedalia Police Department. He was taken into custody on charges of second degree assault with a vehicle and first degree property damage. Crain was placed on a 24-hour hold, pending formal charges from the Pettis County Prosecutor.
