Police stopped a vehicle around 1:42 a.m. on June 27 and arrested a 49-year-old Sedalia man. Police say the vehicle was stopped for a license plate light being out, and discovered that the driver, Daniel C. Turner, had an active warrant for failure to appear on a miscellaneous animal violation. Turner was arrested, and jail staff reportedly discovered half of a Hydrocodone pill in his pocket. Turner was placed on a 24-hour hold pending state charges for possession of a controlled substance and for introducing contraband into a county jail.
