Sedalia Man Arrested Following Trespassing Complaint

Police arrested an 18-year-old Sedalia resident on multiple charges after responding to a report of trespassing in the 900 block of W. 6th St.

According to a police report, officers were told on August 27 by a caller that two people appeared to be trying to get into a vacant house. Police say a man took off running when officers arrived, but was placed under arrest after a pursuit. Police say the suspect tossed a book bag behind a house during the pursuit, and inside the bag officers discovered marijuana. methamphetamine, and a pipe.

Police arrested Richard Danforth Bartlett on charges including trespassing, resisting arrest, possession of marijuana, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and tampering with physical evidence.
